Ti Tree Creek Wetland, Berwick
Planting of 642,000 indigenous plants in the wetland and surrounds, commenced mid-2012.
Villawood - Armstrong Creek, Greater Geelong
Landscape construction and planting of a stromwater wetland on the Surf Coast Hwy, completed 2014.
Sanctuary Lakes Wetland, Point Cook
100,000 indigenous plants.
RSPCA - Burwood
Wastewater harvesting, treatment, sterilization and re-use system. The system saves 6000 litres of drinking water per day.
Green Roof, Peter Doherty Institute (Brookfield Multiplex / Melbourne University)
Installation of pumps and equipment to harvest and re-use wastewater at the building scale. The system uses a rooftop garden to remove nutrients from wastewater generated in the building, which is then used to flush toilets.
Boggy Creek Wetland, Carrum Downs (Melbourne Water)
The establishment of over 750,000 plants, including two years maintenance.
Mernda Villages (Stockland)
Three sections of waterway over a 5 year period. To date we have planted over 150,000 plants including submerged aquatic and riparian fringe species as well as terrestrial grasses and herbs.
Darebin Creek Revegetation, Bundoora and Epping (Melbourne Water)
The establishment of 100,000 plants followed by 3 years of management to deliver what is now considered a benchmark in riparian revegetation.
Featherbrook Estate Wetlands Section 9 & 17 (Central Equity)
Planting and maintenance of around 200,000 aquatic and terrestrial plants between 2009 and 2011. This work followed from wetland planting and maintenance at the Woodland Waters estate carried out during 2007.
Box Hill TAFE, Water Treatment.
Balance Enviro worked alongside plumbers and engineers to install a treatment and re-use system at Box Hill TAFE. Wastewater from the hair and beauty school is now recycled for use within the campus facilities.
La Trobe University Moat Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation of the northern section of the La Trobe University moat to supply water for air-conditioning requirements, construction of a wetland for moat water treatment and sedimentation basin rehabilitation.
The Avenue Estate - Ti Tree Creek Section 78
Planting of over 260,000 plants into wetland and ephemeral zones of this large wetland project for stormwater volume control and treatment.
Pakenham Creek Riparian Enhancement
Repair and rehabilitation of the Pakenham Creek riparian zone by planting a mixture of riparian, terrestrial and wetland plant species for water quality treatment and control.
Mernda Central Wetlands
Planting of over 30,000 aquatic, submerged and semi-emergent wetland plant species into a stormwater treatment and control wetland at Mernda Central Housing estate in northern Melbourne.
Wooten Road - Grassland & Landscape Management
Supply and installation of rabbit proofing structures, direct seeding of grasses and planting of indigenous, advanced trees, shrubs and native plnt tube stock.
Jacksons Hill - Grassland management
Direct seeding and planting of indigenous terrestrial tube stock and advanced trees with associated guarded and staked plant protection.
