Description:
Tufted perennial sedge with rigid, erect stems, Baumea arthrophylla, is native to permanent and seasonal wetlands across southern Victoria. Prefers saturated soils and shallow water in wetland margins, floodplains and drainage lines. Tolerates periodic inundation and fluctuating water levels. Commonly used in wetland construction, riparian revegetation and erosion control projects.
