Indigenous Nursery
At the heart of Balance Enviro’s operations is our indigenous plant nursery, which focuses on preserving and promoting the natural biodiversity of Australian ecosystems. Our nursery enables us to contract-grow many of the species required for vegetating indigenous commercial landscapes. The plants will be used for wetland construction and revegetation projects, with a particular focus on aquatic, riparian and ephemeral species, all of which meet strict Melbourne Water specifications.
We have become a primary supplier across Victoria of:
- indigenous riparian plant stock
- ephemeral plant stock
- aquatic plant stock
for revegetation and construction projects.
Melbourne Water Specifications & Sustainable Practices
Our nursery pays careful attention to provenance and ensures that all our stock meets Melbourne Water provenance specifications. We grow a full range of indigenous aquatic and terrestrial plants in our nursery and all plants are grown in a sustainable natural environment to ensure we have the highest quality, most robust and healthiest stock available – our plants will ultimately survive the conditions they will be planted within.
At our nursery, we’re committed to promoting sustainable practices and supporting the conservation of Australia’s natural environment. By choosing indigenous plants for your landscaping projects, you can help protect local ecosystems and create beautiful, low-maintenance landscapes that will thrive for years to come.
Grow To Order
We also have the ability to “grow-to-order” (contract plant production) a wide variety of plants, including both indigenous and native species, to suit any scale or complexity of landscape project. Our seed collection team ensures they only collect sustainable and healthy seeds with true provenance.
